1.  Overview

I am honored to be support you in this journey with you and your family. This agreement outlines what you can expect in the Child Anxiety Support program. I am committed to helping you understand and support your anxious child.

You can expect the Child Anxiety Support program and workshops to:

  • Educate parents on what research has to say about child and teen anxiety
  • Create opportunity for you to explore changes that will improve your family life.
  • Support you in setting parenting goals and taking the steps to meet your goals.
  • Offer you information and resources that you can choose or reject as best serves you and your family.

As a participant, I expect that you will:

  • Commit to goals that are meaningful to you.
  • Take ownership for your progress and your accomplishments.
  • Be responsible for your time and activities when we work together.
  • If you are participating in a group program, respect the confidentiality of the community and what is shared in your time there.

The program is a place where understanding, mutual trust, emotional safety, and support are the norm. The success of your time there depends on the your willingness to take risks and try new approaches and work the program. The Child Anxiety Support programs focus on the behaviors of the adults who care for the child. If you feel that you or your child would benefit from clinical support during your time in the program, I encourage you to seek out an appropriate therapist.

I am firmly committed to the success of all members in this journey, and will ask the same of you.
